It’s the roaring 20’s and silent movie stars are the biggest names in the world. Don Lockwood has it all, a string of hit films and a studio-engineered romance with the most beautiful actress in town. But with the new phenomenon of the talking picture on the way and a chance meeting with a talented young chorus girl set to steal his heart, things are about to change for Don and for Hollywood forever With all the charm, romance, comedy and tinsel town glamour of one of the world’s best-loved films, Jonathan Church’s brand new production features a glorious score including the classics Good Morning, Make ‘em Laugh, Moses Supposes and the legendary Singin’ in the Rain. Adam Cooper, Daniel Crossley and Scarlett Strallen are a joyous trio, dazzling in the roles made famous by Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor and Debbie Reynolds. They lead a multi-talented cast which also features Katherine Kingsley as the hilarious blonde bombshell Lina Lamont, Michael Brandon as the highly-strung studio boss trying to win Hollywood’s biggest prize, the first hit ‘talkie’ and Sandra Dickinson as gossip columnist Dora Bailey. With stylish, soaring choreography from Andrew Wright and Simon Higlett’s sumptuous set design, Singin’ in the Rain will shower you with everything you could ever want in a hit West End musical! Hailed by critics as the ultimate feel-good show, Singin in the Rain “genuinely makes you feel better about life” (Charles Spencer, The Daily Telegraph).

I’ve been thinking about it for quite some time now, it seems to be such a convenient thing to get and it just about everybody you talk to seem to have one of their own, sometimes they have even more and they all swear by it as it was their best decision in life to get them.

But your research does not really stop at just asking your friends and family about them, while it is a good thing to go and ask the ones who already got them it is also wise to talk to people that already made the decision and now are just waiting for it to happen.

For most of us, whether we like it or not thename is just as important as the rest of it. The name is everything in most cases and in conversations it will immediately tell the other person what it is you are talking about, even if they are inexperienced in the area, all of us have at least some idea when we hear the name of it.

But to be perfectly honest, the name I am thinking of today is not so much related in peoples mind with the best small car choices there are out there, many still think of the name Chevrolet as big and beautiful cars, which here in England is quite ill suited, especially for London transport, gettign suitable parking space and even navigating the roads themselves. No, London is indeed in favour of the small and compact cars and whether or not you have even a car of your own to begin with, we all stare, glare and show open disgust at people with small cars, not because they are disturbing us in some way, but the fact that they seem to be able to break some kind of unwritten rule when they can manage to find a parking space between to normal sized cars.

I think that what indignify us about the situation is that they do not seem to have to suffer as the rest of us who have to cruise around for 30 minutes before we find a parking space that is n hours walk away from the place we really wanted to go visit in the first place.

But there is at least some justice for the ones of us that still cling to the normal sized cars and that is that they still have to pay the same amount of parking price, even if they only need half the amount of fuel to travel as far or the fact that the light weight cars have less wear and tear on both its own wheels and the driveway in front of our houses.

I think I have made my decision, it absolutely has to be a small car when I take the plunge, because for me the big wins are less time trying to locate the parking spaces, I will be able to go down almost any road in London without having to worry that my car is too big and the fact that anything that is too big to transport with my brand new small car can be ordered to be delivered to my front door and even carried up the stairs. With those things in mind I cannot see any downside with getting a shiny new small car… and its name shall be Chevrolet!
